2nd Pines Ride
On Saturday, 11-15-2014, 7 of us, Chris, Andy, Bill, Ruth, Drew, Jacky, and myself, went riding in and around Brendan Byrne State Forest (formerly Lebanon State Forset), which is at the northern end of the NJ Pine Barrens. It was 6 TW200's, and 1 DRZ400. 4 from PA, and 3 of us from here in NJ. We all met at the Ranger Office, and everyone was on time. It was 26* degrees at my house at 5:30am when I woke up. About 36* degrees at 9:30 when I got there. It warmed up to about 47* around 2:30ish in the sun. Since we rode a lot of tight technical trails, with a lot of whoops, and fallen trees to hop over, etc., the cool temp didn't bother us at all. It warmed us up real quick, and all were very comfy as far as staying warm. At one point, not long after heading out, we removed layers it got that nice. But, at the end of the day, once the sun got low, hidden by the trees, it started getting dark and cold real quick. Since we started getting cold, we went the quick way and hit the pavement on the way back to the cars to warm up. We did plan to ride the trails back in the dark, but at this point, we just wanted to get back, load up, and have a warm dinner. Thanks Chris for setting this ride up on the TW Forum.

So here is a quick video after we just got back to the Ranger Station. OK, so idiot me finally took a video, since I forgot to take the cam on the ride with me. It's starting to get dark quick. We're all cold, tired, and hungry. Time to load up, and get some warm grub.

Loading up.

After loaded up, we all followed Jacky to a local Diner that was close, and in the direction everyone was headed. So here we are, all sitting around one big table, carrying on like we didn't want this day to end. After about an hour or so, of talking, eating and laughing, we all said our good-bye's, then went on our seperate way's. Now warmed up, with our belly's full, and wearing big smiles.
This was the best ride, and group I've ridden with since I've had my TW. No slouch riders here. Everyone could ride well. Can't wait to do it again with all of you. Had tons of fun for sure. No doubt that next year will be good times. I can't wait. This was a PERFECT day of riding with a fantastic group of people. Thanks again for the invite guys..!! And thanks again Chris, for putting this ride together.

Hey, So What is it? Creek or Crick...??? LOL
