My 2015 & 2016 Riding Pics and Vids
This is just a random picture and video page from some of my rides. Most of the pictures and videos I take while out riding, I'll put here as I take them. I should be adding new stuff weekly. So stop back often for new stuff. These are in order starting in Fall of 2015. Most current will be at bottom of page (Duh)....Braap Braap..!!
On Saturday, 9-12-2015, 8 of us, went riding in and around Centralia, PA coal country. I didn't take many pics, just a few with my cel phone because it was raining steady all day during the whole ride. I'll have more the next time we go here. Yeah, it rained all day, but still beats sitting at home.

Umm, Click the Pics to View Larger. Just incase ya didn't know.

On Tuesday, 9-22-15, my buddy Travis and I hit the Pine Barrens at Brendan Byrne State Forest (formerly Lebanon State Forest), which is at the northern end of the NJ Pine Barrens around the area of Rt 70 & Rt 72. We had a perfect day. 72 degrees, with an overcast all day. We rode from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM doing a total of 65 off road miles.

On Thursday, 10-9-15, Travis and I rode the Pine Barrens around the same area of Rt 70 & Rt 72. We had another perfect day, 70 degrees and mostly sunny. Did some fine tuning on my suspension. Found a bunch of new single trak trails, and have more to explore next Thursday. I took Travis to a new spot with jumps, berms, hills, and a little mx track setup in a large sand pit. We rode from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Then loaded up my trailer, and head out at 4:20, got home around 6:00.

Yep, Again, Travis an I rode the following Thursday 10-15-15 in the same area of the Pine Barrens in the area of Rt 70 & 72. We had another perfect day. 67 degrees, and mostly sunny. We rode from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, left around 5:30, getting home at 7:00. We hit different spots. These are at the pit on Pitman Rd.

I was taking a break while Travis was riding around this pit. There's a nice trail loop around it through the woods, and a few MX tracks laid out in the open area of the pit. Anyway, as soon as I started to video, he pulled up and stopped. Oh well, next time.

Still, later the same Thursday 10-15-15, we stopped to check out Brooksbrae Brick Factory Ruins. This brick factory burned down in 1911. Now these's nothing but parts of the foundation left. There are old abandoned rail road tracks about 100 yards away, that they must have used back in the day. The graffiti is pretty cool, but the empty beer cans, etc, bothers me. Yeah, I guess I did the same shit when I was young. It's a cool spot to stop and take a break while out exploring on the bikes. Video below the pictures.

Here's a video I took of the ruins. It's just parts of the old foundation that are left. Cool underground tunnels and stuff to check out. They say it's haunted, but I don't believe in that stuff, but who knows. It's a large area about 100 yrds from old abandoned rail road tracks that I would think was used back in the day's this place was still active. I'm repeating myself. Yeah, so, I'm getting old, give me a break.

Once again on Thursday, 10-22-15, my buddy Travis and I hit the Pine Barrens, around the same area. It was a hot day, 82 degrees, sunny all day. We found new trails he out exploring. Had a blast as usual. We didn't mind cuz it's the last hot day of the year.

Here's some videos I took of the trails. This is at the end of the day after 5 hours of hard riding just before going home. We were both shot and tired. Travis just changed his gearing, so he wanted to see how it felt on the tighter trails. I was having problems with the power button on my camera.

2016 Riding Pics and Vids

OK, So here we are at the beginning of the 2016 riding season. A perfect Spring day riding in the Pines with Travis and Dave. Yep, as you can see, my bike is no longer red. I traded someone my red plastics for green. Now my bike looks like a kawasaki, not a Honda. Kawasaki's should be green, so I made it right. I got a new video cam,and don't have it 100% figured out yet. I'll have videos with next week's ride.
These are from 4-19-2016.

These are from 4-29-2016 riding with my friends Drew, Rob and Mario. It was a cold and wet day, with light spot showers thoughout the day. Still had a blast as usual.

Here's some videos I took during the above ride on 4-29-16.

While waiting for 2 others to join us, Drew and I took a test run to check camera angle, and see if we were warm enough. Lucky we did, cuz man, it was cold and damp for the end of April. We went back to my truck to meet the other 2, and put on another layer of clothes and warmer gloves. Also taped up the vents on my helmet. Then I was comfy.

Ok, Here we are, Drew, Rob and I after meeting up with Mario at our usual break spot at Hidden Lakes 2nd lake. We're just out riding around in the NJ Pine Barrens. Like I said above in the pictures, it was a cold, damp and rainy day. Good for here cuz it tac's up the sand, and there's no dust which is a big problem around here.

Halfway through the day.

End of day and getting tired.

Here's a video that my buddie Rob took on this same day. So I'm in this one. It's over a hour long, but you can scroll through it quicker if you want.
This is our Face Book Group, May 7th, Group Ride. 26 riders showed up out of over 80 that planned to go due to it being a rainy day. We had a blast as usual. I had water in my tank and ended up with a DNF early in the ride.

Here's the video I took during the above group ride until my bike died ending my day early.

OK, So I cleaned out the carb, gas tank, petcock, checked the venting, and replaced all fuel lines and vent hoses. I did find enough crap in tank, and carb for this to be my problem with the bike cutting out. So took it out the next weekend to find out, this was NOT the problem. So, back home and time to check for an electrical issue at running temp. Nothing else it could be.These are pics from this second time out still having the problem.

Fixed my bike, bad coil, and was only down 2 weekends. These are from June 4th in the Pines riding with my brother inlaw Lenny. He was breaking in his new Beta 500 RS. First time that bike saw the dirt. We had a great day, and my bike is running good and strong again. Took me almost 2 weeks, going over every inch, of every wire in the ignition system. Took apart every connector cleaning and tightening them, testing all electrical componants, stator, regulator/rectifier, CDI, coil, etc. I finally figured out the coil was bad, but ONLY after getting hot at full running temp. BINGO..!! Replaced, and I'm back in action.

Sunday 6-12, I finally made it up to ride with the FGDBC (Fat Guy Dirt Bike Club) crew. Turns out, they are much closer to me than I thought, only 30 minutes north. So, you know what that means, yes, I will be a regular with this group. Kinda getting tired of the long 1 1/2 hours drive to the Pine Barrens. Don't get me wrong, I'll still ride the Pines, but not as much. I love the mountain terrain. Much more challenging. I drove up to Dave's house in the morning. After talking a bit while he finished up changing the oil on his bike, we headed out to the trail head which is only a mile up the road. We were to meet Matt, Steve, Joe and Mike about 5 miles down the trail. Along the way, Dave bumps into an old friend from school. Small world, and of all places to meet, in the middle of the woods. He also rides. Just after that, a few quads tried to squeeze by us coming the other way. So we had to move off trial up on an embankment. As I was coming off back onto the trail, I tipped over falling on my left arm and shoulder. There was about 2' foot of nothing under my left foot, and down I went falling hard into the all rock terrain. Broke the strap on my hydro backpack. and banged up my elbow, forearm and shoulder. Turned all black and blue by Monday morning. All good though. After a quick fix on my backpack with a few zipties Dave had, on we went. After meeting up with the other 4, we did 31 miles on the trail over the Delaware River into PA. Then we headed back on the road. Joe made it about 3/4 of the way until having engine trouble having to pull out of the trip early. He texted me a few hours ago saying he lost some teeth off his oil pump gear. So hopefully he'll get it fixed up quick. All in all, it was a GREAT day. I had the best time out on my bike in years. Dave invited us to hang out for BBQ and beers, so Mike and I stayed for a while and ate. Matt and Steve had Matt's birthday thing to do, so they took off. Man, Dave's wife made up some really great salads and hamburgers along with dogs and kielbasa. I left my house at 8:00 AM, and got home at 9:00 PM. Great weather, Great Ride, Great food, Fantastic company. You can't get better than that. My wife and I caught some early season crabs the day before, Man, what a perfect weekend....!!

Here's some videos I took during the above ride on 6-12-16.

Along this old rail road line, there are spots with trails and hills, etc. We stopped to check out this steep ass hill. Man, it was like standing in front of a wall. It was very high and very steep. Matt and Dave only went up 1/4 of the way up to the first ledge. The hill was hard packed dirt with loose shale. Not the best tracttion, but doable up to that spot.

This is a video of the last 1/4 of the trail we rode that day. We did a total of 58 miles, with 31 of them on this trail. Awesome ride.
Sunday 9-25-16, Fall is here, and the weather "Finally" broke and cooled down. Man, I HATE the Summer heat and humidity. So bad, that I didn't ride at all for 3 whole months, not once. Last weekend Saturday 9-17 one of my buddie's had a Moto Camp weekend at his hunting cabin in the Pine Barrens in the area we ride most. 30 plus guys ended up going, some went Friday afternoon and stayed until late Sunday, and some went for the day Saturday and/or Sunday. I went early Saturday morning getting there around 7:30 AM and got home that night around midnight. Man was it a dust fest. Anyway, I ended up loosing my prescription glasses while out riding. Ordered new ones on Tuesday and still haven't got the new ones yet. They said it could take 7 business days. I eneded up riding anyway. These pics and videos below are from riding with the FGDBC up in North Jersey in Morris and Sussex county area. Not where I rode the last time with these guys. VERY rocky, hilly terrain. Had an awesome day as usual.

These videos are of the above ride on 9-25-16 in Northern New Jersey. As I said above, I didn't have my RX glasses on this ride, so I had a VERY hard time seeing with blurred vision. This area was hilly and LOADED with rocks. The type of terrain I haven't ridden on in over 30 years. I loved it, we had a blast. I'll be up there a lot from now on. The video doesn't show how steep the hills were, and how high the rocks were. Sketchy gnarly stuff, and video doesn't show it, I hate that.

Part 1
The terrain in this vid wasn't that bad. We kinda eased into the gnarly stuff by the next video in Part 2.

Part 2
Starting to get really gnarly with big rock beds here. Of course it's hard to tell in the video.
Sunday 10-16-16, Drew and I went down south riding, and planned to meet up with an old friend Gary. Just as the 3 of us were unloaded and ready to head out to ride, 2 other guys (Kevin and Scott) I ride with pulled in. So we all ended up riding togeher. Kevin and Scott turned us on to some new trails that were awesome. About 2 hours into the ride, Scott caught a stick cutting his radiator hose. Now that's 2 radiator fails in 2 rides. So that eneded the day early for them. After that we went back to the trucks to remove a layer of clothes since the temp went from 50 to 72 in 2 hours. Yeah, typical Fall weather. When we pulled up to my truck, my brother inlaw Lenny was there, so he joined us for the rest of the day. We had an awesome day as usual.

    Sunday 10-30-16, "North meets South".
Another beautiful Fall day in the NJ Pine Barrens. Most of the FGDBC crew from rocky North Jersey wanted to ride single trak in the sandy pines. Most of them have never been there or ridden in soft sand. So I showed them how us southern riders do it. We all met at 10:00 AM and started riding at 11:00. We rode 95% single trak all day long until we got back to the trucks at 5:30. We loaded up, and headed home around 6:30. 6 of us hit the Diner for dinner before the drive home. Perfect weather and sunny all day until we hit thunder and lightning with high winds and rain 5 minutes after we left the parking spot. Couldn't have timed that better. Man, what a fantastic day riding. No issues at all, just good riding, and we did a LOT of it. 47.5 miles on my tracker, with 30ish miles in the woods on single trak. Whoo Hoo...!!! We all had a blast. Everyone went home happy and tired. That is success.. Check out the video below the pics.
